DRAMASETTER REVIEW: Punch-Out!!!......A Wii Masterpiece

Back in April Nintendo released Punch-Out!!! for the Wii. It's been years since Super Punch Out (1991) and it's a surprise Nintendo never carried the tradition during the 64 and Gamecube era. The NES game lived in every gamer hearts till this day. The sequal lacked the charm but still and incrediable game. So is third times a Charm??......Of Course!!!!!
STORY: You're Little Mac and you're staging your comeback into the ring. You face off past rivals from both the NES and SNES games as well as a couple new fighters and a secret boss that will leave you shocked.
MUSIC: Let's be serious. When has Nintendo failed in this category. Remixed version of the original brings this game to life.
GRAPHICS: Cel shade is the key here. Beautiful cartoony graphics at its best.
GAMEPLAY: Dont let the look fool you. Punch Out is a big challenge. While it might not have that depth of per say Fight Nights Round 4(LOOK FOR THE REVIEW A LITTLE LATER IN THE SUMMER) but does have the same diffculty at times. There's various ways of playing this title, but playing old school wii mote NES way is the best way. The nunchuck combo is too gimicky and the wii balance board needs to be perfected. They have challenges integrated into the game with artwork and music to be won if these challenges are achieved giving this game massive replay value. Multiplayer is medicore with just only Mac vs. Mac but its still a blast to play.
Pros:
  • You fight against previous updated fighters from the past with funny intros. The last master is very familar, and the secret boss will blow you away.
  • The challenges add massive replay value as well as you defending your titles against you oppenents.
  • It's Punch Out dammit!!!
Cons:
  • We waited so long for this title
  • The first round challenges are a bit too easy and the second round is waaay too hard.
If your a Wii owner and you're brand new to the Punch Out series, get it and you'll see whats the magic that everyone has been talking all these years. If you plan on getting the Wii this should be your first purchase next to the perfect Super Mario Galaxy. Worth your 49.99.

Rating>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>9.5 out of 10
