High speed internet Isn't free anywhere, and costs a lot more than $100 bucks a year. plus xbox live is a lot more that psn, so you can't hardly judge a price by that.

But, given that I still wouldn't pay that much for it. I think it's worth the 50 a year, but anything over that I'd have to quit, and start buying more of the games I love for ps3.

I can't believe people are crying over this. I have both systems and use live way more than psn. Who cares if it is free. I want quality fun gaming with friends as well as some cool extras. It equals out to a couple bucks a month. If you are to broke to afford it then you need to be out looking for a better job instead of sitting on your rear.

I'd easily pay $100....if most (and by most i mean almost all!) DLC were to be free or much cheaper. Especially updates/expansions (I can see still charging for full games). I hardly spend $25 on DLC as is, but i'd pay the extra $50 to get all the content i wanted.

First I think that $50 is pushing it to begin with. With that being said I can't see me paying anything more then I already have been paying for it. Netflix pays for itself and helps with people crying about blueray movies. Netflix is also cheaper then a bunch of blueray disks stacking up on your coffee table that your only going to watch once. Netflix is instant HD period. Twitter/Facebook is free on smartphones and pc's anyway. Voice chatting in games is free online because there are a billions apps that provide and help that particular games playability. i.e. WoW, Modern Warfare, Halo, Final Fantasy 11.
So with that being said if you want customers to pay $100 total for gold membership your crazy!! For what exclusive demos, lol. It's not even for every game or way before the game is released. Usually after or on release day we get a demo. There just isn't enough free ingame content to warrant a $50 price hike. What Juggernaut from gamestop, gold lancer for Gears of War is hardly worth a increase. That is all gold offers from where I stand. And we all know this started as a rumor, Warzone gamer was just asking people to comment on it cause it is stupid to think it could even happen.

This wont work at all, i all ready don't see the point of paying for live and buying separate points just to buy the content as well.. why the fuck am i pay subscription then? just to game??? Its ridiculous all ready as it is.

Im sure im talking on more then 70% of Live subscribers behalf saying, if its hiked any higher then we'll just have to find another platform to support. Plain and simple. Im not paying $100 just to have in game cross chat

It makes me laugh that publishers and retailers skank gamers with their high prices, then expect us to pay a yearly fee to play online, then want more of our cash for DLC. Here in the UK, Xbox Live costs around £40 a year which isn't too bad, but the whole online thing should be free. The end.
