Dramasetter's Review -Saw: The Videogame

It's October and as many of you horror might know that the Halloween weekend is owned every year by the "Saw" movie franchise. One of the most unique and twisted stories ever told , Saw manages to still bring in big bucks and gruesome scares every year since 2003. So it's a no-brainer that a video game adaptation was bound to happen. While many of us speculated this game was going to be awful, it atcually turned out to be one of my personal favorites of the year. The game takes place throughout the various parts in Saw(im guessing right before part 2) and it will cultimate to the new Saw 6 movie. You play as Dectative Tapp, whose on the search of finding Jigsaw and bringing him. He soon realizes that he is part of Jigsaw's game. With a whole
asylum looking to find a key for their own personal escape, which is inside the dectative's body, Tapp must find his way out.

THE GOOD:
  • This game really tests your mind with its large array of puzzles. They start off very simple, but about halfway in you going to be kicking your head in, and towards the ending most of the puzzles you struggled before becomes time-based, you going to want to kill yourself.
  • The environment feels straight out of a Saw movie, complete with Jigsaw's T.V. apperances throught this facility.
  • Familar faces from the movies appears throughout the game. Amanda, Obi, and the "Pig-mask" characters are all here.
  • The game is very graphic and Jigsaw's traps are nothing you've seened before in the movies.
  • The ending is just like the Saw movies. A huge twist.
THE BAD:
  • Some puzzles are very repetative and start to drag later in the game.
  • No replay value once it's all said and done.
THE UGLY:
  • Big ass rats all over this place and Detective Tapp's foot(Play it and you'll see what im talking about).
This game is a must play for fans of the movie franchise. The game play is based on puzzles that will bend your mind and have you thinking about them during your sleep, work or school. This is a welcome franchise to this generation. WHILE IT IS'NT WORTH THE $60 PRICE MARK, I would say rent this game or even wait for a price drop. The game is very good, but once it's done it's done. Are you ready to play the game?

SCORE>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>8 out of 10
